  19. For my modem (Cardinal MVP288I) the command is AT W1 (or AT W2)

  21. Apparently, your modem is only displaying the DTE speed.  Look for a
  22. command that displays the DCE speed (W2) or both (W1), although W1
  23. also displays protocol (usually ignored by software)
